Why does Cloud have a neck like a chick? I mean Airrin has a dude neck.

No matter how effiminate a dude looks, he still has the muscles on the back of his neck protruding (ie the muslces that make up part of the upper back I don't remember the name)... and his cheekbones should be more level with the muscles in his neck as well (here they come straight from the bottum of his chin, even a woman doesn't have a neck like that but comic artists like Turner and Lee do it all the time for girls. Its not a bad thing...just NOT something that you want to do to a dude)...

But despite this Cloud actually looks the better of the two...he just looks like a well draw girl... and not an effiminate looking dude (which I think was what you were going for).

Anywho, for a quick sketch+painting in photoshop it looks pretty nice.

Thank ye, and yes, thin necks are a thing I love, so unless the guy has a more masculine appearance and/or attitude, like Airrin, I simply have to draw them thinner. It's just what looks good to me :D

What I just realised is that both necks are of the same thickness, hahaha. Cloud's is just drawn a little too far forward, and there's why it looks off. I'll remember that. Though, I did get the look of him pulling his head back, which is what I wanted, so I'm learning at the same time :D

Nah its not the thikness of the neck it the muscles on the back of his neck. Everyone has them. Its just more pronounced in men. Its the muscle that conects the top of the shoulder to the base of his skull. Even if you were drawing a girl It should stick out more.

Eh, but whatever. I guess I'm being nitpicky now.
